spring 2018 at Wilfred was a season of breezy blues, terracotta pinks, and warm citrus.

Neutrals as always were an important mainstay at Wilfred, as they were an excellent bridge between seasons and carried the weight of most of our sweater programs. Whites were warm, while the greys were cooler. Shades of camel were also laced into the floor through lightweight jackets and bottoms.

Blues were important to the story this season as they complimented the warmer pinks and citrus hues. Light blouses, shirting, and lightweight sweaters were important categories that called for a variety of blues that read light, breezy, and feminine.

Sun-bleached pinks and warm citrus were major callouts through aspirational brands as well as runway. They referred to a certain casual ease and had a holiday-like quality which was important to this season’s story.

This colour story enjoyed using shades of each colour to create monotone outfitting and merchandising exemplified this in certain looks.

Green was used as a trend-right pop that was called out on the runway and tested well. Relevent categories for this colour was in sweaters, dresses, and accessories, and was lovely as hits in prints.
